Wren Class - Reception

Welcome to Wren Class!

Wren Class is taught by Mrs Gregory, supported by our wonderful teaching assistants Mrs PrettejohnMrs Smart and Ms Hembrow. Together, we create a nurturing, playful and purposeful environment where our youngest learners can thrive.

In the Early Years, children learn through a carefully balanced blend of direct teacher-led sessions and child‑initiated explorative play. This approach allows children to follow their interests, build independence and develop confidence, while also ensuring they make strong progress across the seven areas of learning in the EYFS:

  • Communication and Language
  • Personal, Social and Emotional Development
  • Physical Development
  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Understanding the World
  • Expressive Arts and Design

Our classroom is designed to spark curiosity, encourage problem‑solving and support children in becoming enthusiastic, resilient learners. Whether they are building, imagining, investigating, talking, creating or exploring outdoors, every experience contributes to their development.
